Veterans Honor Walk

The City of Farmington honored Marine Staff Sargeant Trevor Spink by naming the Veterans Honor Walk at Engler Park in Farmington for him in 2024.

Trevor Spink was a Farmington High School graduate and member of the US Marine Corps. Throughout his military career, Spink served during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and completed two tours in Iraq. On June 16, 2004, Spink returned to Iraq to serve during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and on July 10, 2004, Spink died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

The Veterans Honor Walk is located near the Chandler/Vargo trail at Engler Park, across from the Play It Forward in the Parkland Playground. There are currently several banners on site honoring Farmington area veterans, and more will be added as space allows. Visitors are encouraged to walk the path and learn more about those who are memorialized.
