Due to the size of the department, full-time positions are not commonly available; however, we are often searching for part-time employees. The City of Farmington employs twenty-three (23) full-time professional firefighters and maintains around twenty-five (25) part-time professional firefighters.
Mandatory Requirements for Full-Time Employment:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be a Missouri resident
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be the minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age
- Missouri State Certified Firefighter I&II
- Current Emergency Medical Technician License
- Hazardous Materials Awareness, Operations or Technician
Farmington is a city in St. Francois County located about 75 miles southwest of St. Louis in the Lead Belt region in Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 16,240. It is the county seat of St. Francois County.
