Farmington and its surrounding area are teeming with recreational opportunities, making it easy to fill a day with both active and passive activities. The Farmington Parks and Recreation Department oversees the area’s park system. Fifteen parks, two aquatic facilities, one community center and a Bike Hostel line the streets of the community.

Farmington is a proud and close knit community, preserving the family unit and progressing toward the future while adhering to the morals and values we grew up with.

Community activities are a large part of what keeps us united and economically strong. From the fishing derby dedicated to the children and their parents in the spring to the Christmas activities featuring a parade, Santa, and the emphasis of giving. Farmington upholds family values!

Residents enjoy the area’s excellent educational opportunities, quality healthcare, premium housing and affordable cost of living, while businesses are attracted to Farmington’s high-powered economy and supportive organizations. Visitors are also drawn to the city for its abundance of outdoor areas, wineries, cultural offerings and shopping venues.

Whether you are in search of a home for your family, a location for an upcoming business venture or interested in taking a relaxing vacation, this area is perfect for any lifestyle, interest and taste. Welcome to Farmington, “The City of Tradition and Progress”.
