CITY OF FARMINGTON ANNOUNCES LIMITED RE-OPENING OF PARK FACILITIES

Farmington, Missouri (April 22, 2020) – The City of Farmington will re-open some of the parks and recreation facilities beginning April 25, 2020. All outdoor basketball courts, multipurpose courts, tennis courts, SK8 Park, dog-park and the fishing dock at Giessing Lake (Engler Park) will re-open for public use.  Park pavilions, playground structures and restroom facilities will remain closed until a later date, which has not been determined.

Park visitors are encouraged to minimize their contact with other persons and to follow recommended social distancing practices to help contain the spread of COVID-19.  If the local area experiences a surge in reported COVID-19 cases, park facility closures may be reinstated upon the advice of public health officials.
