The Farmington Public Library offers are large variety of programs. We are now offering around 20 programs a month, all of which are free to the public. Some programs require a sign up in order to attend. Please sign up at the library or call us @ 573-756-5779.

The library will be at OAKS Senior Center to present Bingo for Books! Bingo for Books offers a fun, literary twist to an old classic. Score a Bingo, and you could take home a new new book!

Ever wondered why a banned book was banned? Join the book club to read and find out! Books for each meeting are available at the library. Discussions on each book are held at the end of the month. This month’s book is Go Ask Alice by Anonymous.

Teen Writers Circle

Open to high school students, the Teen Writers Circle offers a space for young writers to explore their creative talents. Meetings will feature writing activities and exercises, discussion groups, and workshop sessions to give and receive feedback on their work.

Not enough good books in your life? Join the After school Book Club! This club is for kids who enjoy reading, and allows them to discuss good books with their peers. Snacks are provided by the library. This month we are reading North by Night by Katherine Ayres and making paper lanterns!

Feeling crafty but don’t know what to do? Let us help! Join us every month for craft night, featuring cute and creative crafts that anyone would enjoy! The library will provide craft materials, but you are welcome to bring your own too! This month we’re making sock bunnies!

Learning Resource Class

Learning Resource Class

Every Saturday 4:30 -7:00 p.m.

Every Sunday 2:00- 5:30 p.m.

The Farmington Public Library has weekly computer resource classes every Saturday and Sunday. Anyone over the age of 15 that has a valid library card is welcome to come to the library computer lab at the designated time.

We will be using LearningLibraryExpress to improve computer skills for work and school related activities. This is not a beginners computer class. Please sign up at the library in order to attend. Email vmoore@farmington-mo.gov for more information.

One-on-one Technology Lessons

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

10:30 a.m.

Sign up for one-on-one technology lessons at the library either in person or  by phone. A qualified member of the staff gives instruction on any topic you wish. Other time slots may be available by appointment.
