Programs

The Farmington Public Library offers are large variety of programs. We are now offering around 20 programs a month, all of which are free to the public. Some programs require a sign up in order to attend. Please sign up at the library or call us @ 573-756-5779.

Adult Winter Reading Program

January 1-31, 2020

We are having an adult winter reading program at the library during the month of January! Pick up an entry form at the front desk in order to win prizes. Entries must be submitted no later than January 31, 2020

Adult Craft Night

Thursday, February 6

6:00 p.m.

Feeling crafty but don’t know what to do? Let us help! Join us every month for craft night, featuring cute and creative crafts that anyone would enjoy! The library will provide craft materials, but you are welcome to bring your own too! This month we’re making jute jars and felt flowers!

Trivia Night

Friday, February 7 @ 6 p.m.

Join us for a night of trivia at the library on Friday, February 7th, at 6 pm!
There will be 10 categories of general trivia. Teams can have 4-6 people, and participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks and drinks. Space is limited, so please sign up at the library.

Candy Construction

Monday, February 10

4:00 p.m.

Do your kids love crafts and sweet treats? Then join us for an afternoon of delicious fun. Kids will build neat edible creations. For February we’re making Valentine’s Day sweet treats! To sign up, please call the library at 573-756-5779 or come in and sign up in person. We do not take online sign ups at this time.

4:00 p.m.

Designed to inspire creativity, Kids’ Crafternoon allows young children to stretch their imaginations as they build and create neat crafts. We’re making love bugs and bookmarks!

6:00 p.m.

Do you love classic literature? Want to meet with others who love it too? Join the classic book club to reread old favorites, and gain new insight! Join the discussion in February on Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.

Tails with Tales Story Time

Tails with Tales Story Time

Saturday, February 15

11:15 a.m.

Tails with Tales will be at the library @ 11:15 a.m. for a special story time. Story time will begin @ 11:30 a.m. Join our canine friends, Abraham and Winnie while we listen to our story time reader for the day!

Thursday, February 20

10:00 a.m.

The library will be at OAKS Senior Center to present Bingo for Books! Bingo for Books offers a fun, literary twist to an old classic. Score a Bingo, and you could take home a new book!

Family Movie Night is every month at the Farmington Public Library! Join us in February for Abominable. Anyone is welcome to attend this event. Snacks are provided by the library.

Join us on the fourth Tuesday of the month for Needle Works! Needle Works is for anyone interested in needle work art. All skill levels are welcome to attend.

Story Time

Every Wednesday @ 10:30 a.m. 

Every Saturday @ 11:30 a.m.

Story time is every Wednesday and Saturday at the library. Story time provides an educational and entertaining experience for kids every week. Kids not only hear a story, but also participate in a neat craft! No sign up is required in order to attend this event. Some dates are subject to change during the summer months due to splash pad story time at the Farmington Water Park and the summer reading program at the library.
