The Farmington Public Library offers are large variety of programs. We are now offering around 20 programs a month, all of which are free to the public. Some programs require a sign up in order to attend. Please sign up at the library or call us @ 573-756-5779.

Feeling crafty but don’t know what to do? Let us help! Join us every month for craft night, featuring cute and creative crafts that anyone would enjoy! The library will provide craft materials, but you are welcome to bring your own too! This month we’re making duct tape pouches!

Mad Science at the Library

Do you have a mad thirst for science and knowledge that must be quenched? Come be a mad scientist with us here at the Farmington Public Library! This month we’ll learn about chemical reactions! We’ll be testing different kinds of chemical reactions through activities like making slime and more!

Interested in writing? Looking for a writing community? Then join us at the Parkland Writers Circle. Open to writers 18 and older and all experience levels, it is a group designed to encourage and inspire.

Scavenger Hunt

6:00 p.m.

Come be a part of the Farmington Public Library’s very first scavenger hunt! We will begin at the library and clues will be scattered throughout Farmington. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place winners. Door prizes will also be awarded at the end of the evening. Prizes are donations from local businesses. This program is for ages 16 and up. Teams should be made up of 2-5 people. Please come in to the library or call us @ 573-756-5779 in order to sign up.

Every Saturday @ 11:30 a.m.

Story time is every Wednesday and Saturday at the library. Story time provides an educational and entertaining experience for kids every week. Kids not only hear a story, but also participate in a neat craft! No sign up is required in order to attend this event.

Learning Resource Class

Learning Resource Class

Every Saturday 1:00 -6:00 p.m.

The Farmington Public Library has weekly computer resource classes every Saturday and Sunday. Anyone over the age of 15 that has a valid library card is welcome to come to the library computer lab at the designated time.

We will be using LearningLibraryExpress to improve computer skills for work and school related activities. This is not a beginners computer class. Please sign up at the library in order to attend. Email vmoore@farmington-mo.gov for more information.

One-on-one Technology Lessons

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

10:30 a.m.

Sign up for one-on-one technology lessons at the library either in person or  by phone. A qualified member of the staff gives instruction on any topic you wish. Other time slots may be available by appointment.
