The Farmington Public Library offers are large variety of programs. We are now offering around 20 programs a month, all of which are free to the public. Some programs require a sign up in order to attend. Please sign up at the library or call us @ 573-756-5779.
Are you looking for something different to read? Need help finding a new author? The Farmington Public Library is now offering Bookmarked! – a reading suggestion service for adults, ages 18 and up. Fill out our survey and we’ll bookmark some new reading suggestions just for you. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it could lead you to your next favorite author!
Within two to three business days of filling out our survey, we’ll provide you with new titles to try. We can either email you a list of three to five books or we can bundle the books for you to pick up. The survey can be filled out and submitted online or you can pick one up at the library. Try it today!

Story time is back at the library! Starting Wednesday, September 16 we’ll meet in the community room every Wednesday for this event. Masks are required for ages 6 and older and recommended for ages 2 and older, per CDC guidelines. Families can sit together, but social distancing guidelines will be in place. Classic Book Club
Do you love classic literature? Want to meet with others who love it too? Join the classic book club to reread old favorites, and gain new insight! Copies are available on Project Gutenberg.
Take-and-Make Adult Craft

The sign up for our next adult Take-and -Make Craft is available!
This craft will be available for pick-up starting September 10. Pickups will be available for two weeks.
• This craft DOES require a sign-up! Come to the front desk to have the staff sign you up, or call us at 573-756-5779. We do not take sign ups online.
Kids Crafternoon Take-and-Make

• This kit is for kids in ages 3-12 only.
• A valid library card is required to sign up for this program. A parent must have a card if someone signing up is under the age of 5.
• This will be a kit that will contain all the supplies needed and instructions to make your very own hedgehog!
Teen Book Boxes
Sign up Dates: September 17th – October 1st
Sign up will close early if all available spots are full.
Pick up Dates: October 8th – October 22th
Everyone will be contacted individually for their box pick up.
This box will include items and crafts that are mystery themed, but all the items will be a surprise until you receive your box!
This program is for teens going into grades 6th-12th only. A valid library card is required in order to sign up. Please fill out the survey here in order to sign up. There is a paper copy available at the library for those who wish to fill it out in person. We can not take sign ups over the phone for this program.

Digital Escape Room
The Farmington Public Library Escape from Fairytale Land is here! Anyone may participate in our digital escape room.
The Library will have an online Escape the Room available starting June 22! The link will be posted on our Facebook, Instagram, and website. This will also count as an online event for the Teen and Adult Summer Reading, but anyone can participate for fun! Please make sure to get the code word after you’ve finished escaping if you are counting it as part of your summer reading activity on your board.
Recommended ages are 11 & up.
