CITY OF FARMINGTON ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF CITY OFFICES DUE TO COVID-19
Farmington, Missouri (November 23, 2020) – The City of Farmington announced this afternoon that due to a number of City employees testing positive for COVID-19, City offices will be closed to public access, except by appointment, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.
“We regret that this action is necessary, but for the safety of our employees and the general public, we are restricting in-person contact for services at City offices. All persons requiring in-person service may contact the respective office for appointment. Residents are encouraged to use online or telephone access for needed services during this closure”, said City Administrator Gregory S. Beavers.
The duration of the closure will be determined based on local conditions. Resident’s cooperation to ensure the safety of City employees and to slow the spread of COVID-19 is appreciated. Offices will reopen as soon as possible.
