FARMINGTON TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING TO GAIN PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING ADA TRANSITION PLAN

Farmington, Missouri (January 11, 2021) – The City of Farmington will conduct a public hearing on January 25, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Long Memorial Hall to gain public input regarding the proposed adoption of the 2021 ADA Transition Plan.

The Plan identifies certain areas for improvement in public facilities, services and infrastructure to better facilitate access for persons with disabilities.

Written comments may be submitted to the attention of Gregory S. Beavers, City Administrator, 110 West Columbia, Farmington, Missouri 63640, or via e-mail to gbeavers@farmington-mo.gov.

FARMINGTON MUNICIPAL COURT UPDATE REGARDING JUNE 10 COURT DATE

PRESS RELEASE

Farmington, Missouri (June 1, 2020) – The Farmington Municipal Court has announced the change of time of the municipal court dates scheduled for Wednesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. If you received a ticket with a court date of June 10, 2020, time will be 6:30 p.m. If your cases were continued to the 10th and your last name starts with A-K, court will start at 5:30 p.m. If your cases were continued to the 10th and your last name starts with L-Z, court will start at 7:30 p.m.

If you are a vulnerable person as defined by the CDC (an individual 65 years or older or an individual with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, including those who suffer from chronic lung disease, moderate to severe asthma, serious heart conditions, immune disorders, obesity, diabetes, or chronic kidney or liver disease) and wish to make special arrangements regarding your court appearance, please call the clerk at 573-756-6787.

    Special RequirementsIn accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act, and the Missouri Prevailing Wage Law, the Contractor will be required to comply with the wage and labor requirements and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor and the Missouri Division of Labor Standards, respectively. The highest rate between the two (Federal and State) for each job classification shall be considered the prevailing wage.

    The City of Farmington, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.

    This project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation.     DescriptionSealed bids for the listed Holmatro Rescue Equipment will be received at the City of Farmington Fire Department, 222 East Columbia Street, Farmington, Missouri 63640, 573-756-2324 Extension #3601, until 2:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the office of the Fire Chief, and at that time will be publicly opened and read.

    The sealed bids will be for the listed equipment only, as a package, and no bids will be accepted on individual components. All bids shall be submitted on paper, in ink, and in a sealed envelope identifying the name of the Bidder, and labeled:

    After review of submittals, the best and most responsive bid shall be evaluated and submitted to the Farmington City Council for review and consideration.

    The equipment will be available for examination Monday – Friday during normal business hours at Farmington Fire Department, 222 East Columbia Street, Farmington, MO 63640, or by special appointment.

    All equipment is in operational condition, however, all equipment is used and shall be considered as-is in condition, no warranties shall be implied.

    After selection of a successful bidder, the bidder shall be notified of the results. Payment will be required upon the successful bidder taking possession of the equipment.

    The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or minor defects in any bid, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
