Library DirectorKaren A. Roman Born and raised in St. Louis, I have spent the majority of my adult life in Missouri away from the city. Graduating from Ritenour High School, I received degrees from schools in Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois; finally receiving my Masters from Missouri Baptist University in 2006. After twenty-six years as a teacher of students with special needs, and eight years in Healthcare management, I was ready for a new challenge and completed my graduated studies as a Library/Media Specialist. My husband, Greg, and I are the proud parents of two sons; Aaron is a graduate of Truman University now fulfilling a four year obligation with the US Army, stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska; Bryce is completing his studies in criminology at Missouri State University and will also complete time in service. Greg supervises student teachers and field experience students for Missouri Baptist University and also teaches graduate classes in Educational Administration. Library work has been an interest of mine for many years and the position here at the Farmington Library has proved to be a great experience for me. When not directing the activities of the library, I enjoy traveling, gardening, reading, visiting family, and being outdoors.
