The Farmington S.R.T. (Special Response Team) is a specialized tactical team that responds to situations requiring expertise and equipment beyond that normally used by field officers.

The team currently consists of a team commander, team leader, and 8 members, who are assigned to specialty units within the team, including Entry/Rescue Team, Negotiations, and Counter Sniper.

The team members are on-call 24 hours a day and work regular duty assignments in the Patrol and Investigations Divisions.

The team is very well-equipped with the proper attire and weaponry to complete their assigned tasks. The team currently uses Colt 9mm SMGs, Bushmaster .233 Rifles, Glock .40 handguns, and Remington shotguns.

The team has in-service training at least once a month and attends several conferences and other types of training throughout the year.
