Fire safety programs are usually perceived to be taught only to children. However, fire safety programs are being taught to a wide variety of civic groups also.  Teaching children fire safety at an early can provide essential knowledge of basic fire safety such as stop drop and roll, notifying adults when finding a lighter or match, and reasons and methods of reporting a fire or a potential fire situation.  The Farmington Fire Department provides numerous programs to the citizens of the community.

Some of the programs included are:

·         Fire Safety Lectures

·         Fire Station Tours

·         Fire Extinguisher Training in The Workplace and Home

·         Fire Drills in The Workplace and Schools

·         Juvenile Firesetter Program (See juvenile fire setter drop down)

The Fire Department welcomes community program invitations and will try to tailor public education programs to the communities needs.
